United Bank of India awarded ISO 27001: 2013 certification for its ISMS, DRC and C-SOC

Kolkata based United Bank of India  has been awarded ISO 27001: 2013 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS) at Data Centre(DC), Data Recovery Centre (DRC) and Cyber-Security Operation Centre(C-SOC).

The certification process involved an extensive audit, conducted by  Certification Body against the criteria set out by the ISO 27001:2013 standards on various domains of IT / IS functions. Based on the recommendations, United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation body issued ISO 27001:2013 certificate.

Bank has deployed various technologies to enhance Cyber Security posture of the Bank, along with internal control system, United Perimeter Shield has been deployed to further strengthen to defense & prevent various Internet based attacks. Bank also has deployed IPV6 enabled public facing applications in line with NATIONAL TELECOM POLICY 2012.

Achieving the ISO 27001:2013 certification demonstrates Bank’s total commitment to benchmarking Technology/Information Security framework and processes with international standards and forms part of its long term vision for security best practices.
