Traders applaud move for interstate movement of gold under GST

Easing interstate movement of gold under GST has come as a cheer to the gold traders this festive season. Under the new rules, the jeweller will have to pay 3 per cent integrated goods and services tax (IGST) on actual sales and is not required to pay an advance IGST on the total volume of gold sent for sale in other states.
