IndusInd Bank Launches GCC-Focused Banking Vertical

IndusInd Bank has launched a dedicated Global Capability Centre (GCC) Banking vertical as India’s GCC ecosystem expands. The country now has 2,117 GCCs, with the ecosystem growing 32% since FY2021, according to the bank. The new vertical brings corporate and employee banking under a single relationship model, targeting the increasingly complex requirements of GCCs involved in technology, engineering, analytics, finance, research and other strategic functions.

The offering combines five core capabilities: digital banking, employee banking, commercial card solutions, capital-account and FEMA solutions, and foreign-currency accounts through the bank’s International Banking Unit at GIFT City. IndusInd Bank said the proposition is built around three principles: a unified relationship covering corporate and employee banking, digital-first platforms, and access to senior bankers and India-focused advisory support.

The move reflects the changing banking requirements of multinational companies operating GCCs in India, particularly around cross-border transactions, foreign exchange, employee services and corporate banking. As GCCs take on more strategic functions, specialised banking solutions could become increasingly important for managing their business and workforce requirements through integrated banking relationships.
