IndusInd Bank Launches Dedicated GCC Banking Vertical
IndusInd Bank has launched a dedicated Global Capability Centres (GCC) Banking vertical to serve India’s expanding GCC ecosystem. The new division brings corporate and employee banking under a unified relationship model and is designed to address the increasingly specialised financial requirements of GCCs, which now operate across technology, engineering, analytics, finance, research and other strategic functions. India has 2,117 GCCs, with the ecosystem growing 32% since FY2021.
The vertical combines five core capabilities: digital banking, employee banking, commercial card solutions, capital-account and FEMA services, and foreign-currency accounts through the bank’s International Banking Unit at GIFT City. The proposition is built around a unified, digital-first and responsive service model, allowing GCCs to manage corporate, workforce and cross-border banking requirements through an integrated banking relationship.
The move reflects the growing banking requirements of multinational companies using India as a strategic operating base. As GCCs expand beyond traditional shared-service activities, banks are increasingly developing specialised solutions around cross-border transactions, foreign exchange, employee banking and corporate financial management. For the banking sector, the expansion of GCC-focused services represents an emerging opportunity to build deeper relationships with multinational enterprises operating in India.
