The 13th edition of IBEX India 2026, the International Trade Fair & Conference for the BFSI Technology & Fintech sector, held on 7-8 April, successfully concluded at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.With its core vision of “Bridging the BFSI Sector with Technology”, it once again reinforced its position as a leading platform for innovation, collaboration, and digital transformation across the BFSI ecosystem.

Since its inception in 2011, IBEX India has consistently played a key role in enabling technology-led transformation across the BFSI sector by bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers on a single platform.

Inauguration Ceremony

The event was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony in the presence of eminent dignitaries from the BFSI sector. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Kalyan Kumar, MD & CEO, Central Bank of India, along with senior industry leaders and members of the IBEX India Advisory Committee. The opening proceedings included a contextual address by Mr. CH. SS. Mallikarjuna Rao, Hon. Chairman, IBEX India 2026 Advisory Committee, who highlighted the evolving role of technology in reshaping the BFSI sector. The theme address was delivered by Ms. Paramita Gupta (Capgemini) on “Tech Innovations Shaping India’s BFSI Future”, followed by a special address by Mr. Deepak Kumar Lalla, CEO, Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, emphasising the need for “Building a Resilient and Scalable BFSI Ecosystem in the Age of AI”.

Expo Overview

The IBEX India 2026 Expo served as a high-engagement platform for technology providers and BFSI institutions, showcasing solutions across the exhibitor ecosystem, including digital banking platforms, cybersecurity systems, AI and analytics solutions, payment and software solutions, as well as innovations in customer experience, risk management, and automation. The exhibition floor witnessed participation from over 80+ companies, along with strong delegate attendance and a large visitor turnout of more than 3786+ footfalls, enabling meaningful business interactions and collaboration opportunities across the BFSI sector.

Conference Theme & Highlights

Theme: “Tech Innovations Shaping India’s BFSI Future”

The two-day conference addressed critical transformation areas shaping the future of the BFSI sector. Day 1 of the conference focused on board-level perspectives on growth, governance, and innovation, along with discussions on technology and innovation leadership driving digital transformation, AI-driven BFSI initiatives, the core of comprehensive cybersecurity and data privacy frameworks, and strengthening digital resilience through institutional collaboration. Day 2 continued the dialogue on the evolving BFSI landscape, highlighting Tech Innovations in the Indian Insurance Sector, Future of Co-operative Banking in India, and Future-Ready NBFCs.

BFSI Technology Awards

A key highlight of the event was the BFSI Technology Awards 2026, recognising excellence and innovation across the BFSI sector. The awards were presided over by Dr. Gulshan Rai and celebrated outstanding contributions in digital transformation, AI adoption, cybersecurity, and customer experience.

In the Banking Sector, major recognitions were awarded to leading institutions including State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Maharashtra, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank of India, and IDBI Bank, reflecting excellence in digital transformation and operational innovation.

In the Insurance Sector, HDFC Life Insurance, Bajaj General Insurance, IndiaFirst Life Insurance Company, and IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance were among the key awardees for their advancements in technology adoption and customer-centric innovation.

In the Development Finance Institution category, NaBFID (National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development) was recognised for its contribution to technology-led infrastructure financing and innovation.
