Arun Sridharan Takes Expanded Role as Deputy COO, Global Treasury at Standard Chartered

Arun Sridharan has taken on an expanded role as Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO), Global Treasury at Standard Chartered, while continuing to lead the bank’s Treasury India GCC.

Sridharan announced the expanded responsibility on LinkedIn, saying he will focus on helping shape the next phase of the bank’s Treasury function, including its global transformation agenda, technology and AI adoption, and evolution of the operating model.

Alongside his global Treasury responsibilities, he will continue building the Treasury India Global Capability Centre (GCC) as a strategic capability hub and an extension of Standard Chartered’s global Treasury organisation.

The expanded role comes as global banks increasingly use their India-based capability centres for technology, analytics, transformation and specialised financial functions. Treasury operations are also undergoing significant changes as banks adopt automation, artificial intelligence and advanced technology to strengthen efficiency and decision-making.

Sridharan thanked Daniel Hodge, Vikash M., Emilie Feddal and Gaurav Bagga for their trust and confidence, as well as colleagues and teams he has worked with throughout his career.

His expanded mandate places technology, AI adoption and operating-model transformation alongside Treasury leadership, reflecting the growing integration of technology and financial management within global banking operations.
