NPCI recognises exceptional performance of United Bank of India in National Payments Excellence Awards
National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), an organisation which has been on the forefront in digital payments, is proud to present the National Payments Excellence Awards 2017, the highest recognition in the industry to acknowledge exceptional performance in payments system.
The prestigious awards hosted by NPCI are for inculcating a spirit of healthycompetition and for recognising the exceptional performance of NPCI members. This includes scheduled commercial banks, co-operative banks, Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), White Label ATM Operators(WLAOs) and Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs).
Shri. B.P. Kanungo, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Chief Guest of the event has presented the award to United Bank of India for its excellent performance in RuPay and CTS category. Mr Manjit Singh Kochar, AsstGenaral Manager and Chief Regional Manager, Mumbai Region of the Bank has received the award on behalf of the Bank.
United Bank of India, head quartered at Kolkata has been one of the most active banks in issuance of India’s indigenous RuPay card and has a complete portfolio of Debit, Credit and Pre-Paid card under RuPay. United Bank is the first Bank to launch International Platinum EMV RuPay card. United Bank is also the first bank to offer completely personalizable RuPay Moments card where the customer may upload their own photograph to be printed on a debit card.The Bank has also ventured into credit card business on RuPay platform.
